Otto Freundlich, au Musée de Montmartre

The Musée de Montmartre is dedicating a major exhibition to one of the first great creators of non-figurative art, the German painter and sculptor Otto Freundlich (1878-1943). He who, engaged in political combat and the struggle for a new art, saw in 1937 his sculpture Big head (1912) appear on the cover of the catalog of the traveling exhibition “Entartete Kunst” and his work partially destroyed, was l one of the pioneers of abstraction.
